Community Safety & Law Enforcement Committee

The Community Safety and Law Enforcement Committee presents the Thomas R. Windham Award to the top recruit in the training class of the Police and Fire Academy. Graduation services are held 3-4 times a year depending upon the schedule of the Police and Fire Academy. A small plaque is presented by the chairman or someone from the committee to the top recruit as well as their name is affixed to a large award that is hung in the Academy. The chairman then needs to set up a date when the top recruit attends a Rotary meeting and is presented with the small plaque (again) and a check. This date needs to be coordinated with the Rotary office and the recruit.
